EcoTourism facilities improvements.
EcoTourism Belize renovates its bunkhouse, dining room and camping grounds to offer a comfortable and safer stay.
The bunkhouse can host students, families and friends traveling in groups but it is also available to individuals looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay. It has eight bunk beds and four single beds with a layout recognizing proper social distancing measures, clean towels, sanitizers and toiletries. Our bunkhouse now has all COVID-19 measures with an improved spacious resting area and additional private room and a separate quarantine room.
The quarantine room is fully equipped with necessary COVID-19 measures including a health and safety kit which has face mask and shield, gloves, hand sanitizers and non-contact thermometer. The new private rooms have two single beds, each bed has a fan and night lamps, the room also provides a table, chair and dresser.
The resting area was expanded with a new spacious insect screen veranda, proper sanitization stations, and educational signage. After an adventurous day, guests can rest on the Adirondack chairs, read a book and the natural scenery can be enjoyed. Besides the bunkhouse, there are two cold water showers and four composting toilets with a great view into the jungle. Two new flush toilets were built besides the dining room. All toilets provide toiletries, mirrors and hand washing basins.
The dining area provides guests with a spacious palapa style room for meals. The room also provides space for workshops or lectures for student group discussions or any other group activities. The dining area provides tables, chairs, proper sanitization stations, and educational signage. We also create this space for venue rentals for workshop needs.
Our camping grounds include a wooden platform, four picnic tables and all COVID-19 measures are well observed. We also have single and double camping tents available for rent. Campers have access to showers, toilets and dining areas. All facilities are provided with clean drinking water and are powered by solar energy.
EcoTourism Belize is Gold standard certified and now offers to guest and returning groups comfortable and safer accommodations. Guests may choose from staying in our bunkhouse, private rooms or camp under the stars.
Come and stay with us, we are located at Mile 68 on the Southern Highway, Golden Stream village in Toledo.
