Improve a farm’s production by increasing the variety of fruits, timber and shade trees while learning from farmers and climate smart agricultural practices adopted. More trees mean healthy soil, protecting the land and providing homes and food for wildlife.
Protected areas also suffer from the effects of deforestation. As a response, Ya’axché’s nursery grows native timber and non-timber species which are used to restore affected lands in protected areas. This is a perfect opportunity to contribute to maintaining the integrity of forests and their associated species. The transplanted native plants are monitored to ensure they survive and grow healthy.
