This unique trek gives you the opportunity to embrace tranquility while enjoying the rejuvenation of crisp forest air. You will uncover ancient secrets of medicinal plants and learn about threatened trees species. Encounter wildlife and experience the thrill of spotting incredible wildlife in their natural habitat. Unwind in nature’s embrace and gain a deeper appreciation for the environment through informative presentations from our knowledgeable guides.

Your boots will likely get muddy, and you should be prepared to get sweaty, but after a morning of adventure you can enjoy a refreshing view and cooling down by taking a dip in the Golden Stream River, the lifeblood of the Golden Stream Corridor Preserve. 

Itinerary
  • 8:15am – Arrive at Ya’axché Field Station, Golden Stream Corridor Preserve
  • 8:30am – Depart for ecotour
  • 12:00pm – Nature ecotour concludes
  • Optional: Lunch at local Maya women’s group ($13 US per person)

Ya’axché’s Field Station is easily accessible by public transportation. However, feel free to ask us about private transportation. We will gladly assist!
