TOUR overview

Whether you are interested in archaeology, history, culture or expanding knowledge on the preservation of archaeological sites, Toledo Belize should be on your list! Gather the unique perspective on Maya civilization, history and culture by visiting either the Nim Li Punit or Lubantuun Archaeological Sites in Toledo. Each site’s story will surely pique your interest.    

Connect with the passionate in-house guides that will share their knowledge about the site. You will witness true valuable preserved treasures at each site, enjoying scenic panoramic views.   

This walk through history can also be complemented with a Maya Culture Tour.

Itinerary
  • 1:00pm – Arrive at Ya’axché Field Station, Golden Stream Corridor Preserve
  • 1:15apm – Depart for tour
  • 1:30pm – Arrive at destination and begin tour
  • 3:30pm – Archaeological tour concludes

Ya’axché’s Field Station is easily accessible by public transportation. However, feel free to ask us about private transportation. We will gladly assist!

We recommend

  • Sturdy walking shoes/boots with a good tread, expect them to get muddy and wet, depending on the season
  • Non-aerosol bug spray
  • Eco-friendly sunscreen
  • Hat with rim and/or bandana
  • Binoculars and a camera if you care to get a closer look and record some of your sightings
